Participants must check in at Lonesome Pine Raceway on the day of the event between the hours of 9:00 am and 12:00 noon.
Upon arrival at the track, all drivers will be required to sign the track waiver form and event wavier form prior to their entrance into the pit-area.
Upon entry into the pit-area, drivers will be issued a driver identification card that they must give to the Chief Steward prior to driving on the track. Remember the speed limit when not competing is 5 mph.
Please do not make plans to leave before the conclusion of the event. Cars and drivers cannot leave the track until all cars have run.
Following issuance of the driver identification card, participants will be directed to drive their car into the pit-area where they will park in a pre-designated spot.
After parking their cars, drivers must walk from their car to the designated driver’s area for a pre-race meeting. At no point shall a driver move their car until directed to do so by event staff.
Drivers are to remain in the driver’s area until they are directed to return to their cars. When directed to return to their cars drivers must remain in their car until they are called to the pit- lane.
Cars will be divided into groups. Each car in each group shall advance on pit-lane as the car in front of them advances, but no driver shall leave the pit-lane until the Chief Steward allows them to enter the track.
Drivers are to drive their car within the limits of their ability and the ability of their car. In the event that the driver has reason to doubt the performance of their car or their own ability, they are to err on the side of caution.
When instructed to do so, drivers will enter the track from the exit of pit-road for competition.
Drivers will get one and a half laps to get their car up to speed.
When the driver approaches the start-finish line the second time, they will see the flagman waive the white flag. The white flag indicates that the competition lap “Hot-Lap” is about to begin and the driver should drive at their competition speed.
The Hot-Lap is the only lap that will be counted for competition. The Director of Timing and Scoring will use the track’s lap timer to time the lap.
After completing the white flag lap, drivers will see the checkered flag displayed. This means that the driver should slow down after the start-finish line and proceed to pit-road. Entry onto pit-road should be at a speed no greater than 5 mph.
The entrance of pit-road is off of turn 4 and no other entrance to the pit-area shall be used.
At the entrance of pit-road, the driver will be directed back to the pit-area.
After returning their car to the pit-area, drivers shall exit their car and return to the designated driver’s area remain in the driver’s area until all cars have completed their laps.
Cars that finish in the top three positions will be tech inspected to determine if the car meets the event requirements. In the event that a car does not meet the event requirements, the driver will be disqualified. (i.e. the car has been modified and is not a “stock” production automobile)
In the event that a car is disqualified, the next fastest car will be tech inspected to determine if their car meets the event requirements.
The winner shall be announced and the prizes awarded at the track on the day of the event.
Notes:
A car that spins out or makes contact with any wall shall be disqualified. You will be directed by the flagman with the checkered flag to return to pit-road.
In the event that the timing of the equipment fails, the Director of Timing and Scoring shall call that car back to the track for another lap of the same format and the previous lap shall not be counted. In the event of equipment failure, the Director of Timing and Scoring shall be permitted to use any other generally accepted method of timing the laps.
In the event of a tie, the cars that have the same lap time shall be brought back to the track to compete for the position of the tie. In essence, if three cars have the same fast time, they shall finish no lower then third overall.
At no point shall any person or any car enter the track until the preceding car has exited the track.
The decisions of the Director of Timing and Scoring related to the results of the Timing and Scoring shall be conclusive.
In the event of an accident, competitors shall not enter the track. Safety personnel will be on site for such instances.
